Production Speed is separate from shipping speed. Rectangular Branding Mark Sizes We offer two sizes of rectangular branding irons, standard and large. The Branded Mark Size of the Standard Iron = approximately 0.65" x 1.50" The Branded Mark Size of the Large Iron = approximately 0.875" x 2.00" Thick Branding Head for Longer Marking Sessions Our Branding heads are machined to 3/4" thick for optimal heat retention, resulting in a tool that will require re-heating less often. This allows our branding heads to be ideal for both fire-heating and for use with electric heating tools. Image raised 3/32" off the base to prevent background marks All of our branding heads are produced with the artwork raised 3/32" from the head to prevent ghosting marks from the base of the die. This allows for a clear impression on multiple materials and ensures a clean mark when heating to an appropriate temperature. 3/8" tapped hole for attaching handle or heating tool Both sizes of our rectangular branding heads feature a 3/8" - 16 thread tapped hole for attaching a fire-heated handle or electric heating tool. This attachment method ensures a tight fit when tightening snugly by hand and allows for maximum heat transfer when using our electric heating tools. Standard vs. Large Size Comparison Depth of Branding Head Engraving Depth Attachment Method Additional Details Includes Electric Heating Tool If selecting the Large size, a Hakko 557-V12B 200 Watt electric heating tool will be included. If selecting the Standard size, a Weller 80 Watt electric heating tool will be included. Smart Touch Rheostat Included When purchasing an electric branding iron with either of our sizes, a Smart Touch Rheostat is included for controlling the level of heat output from the electric heating tool. This allows for maximum control over the resulting branding mark and ensures that the results you achieve are repeatable when proper test marks are made and the settings are recorded next to the mark for future reference. Brass Branding Head Suitable for Non-Edible Materials Only Our Brass Branding Heads are intended for use on non-edible materials only. Suitable marking materials include: wood, leather, cork, cardboard, and even plastic (branding on plastic only recommended when artwork is thin lines with no large bold areas).
