When I bought this item I did not know it had been used. It was very clean etc but the box was somewhat messy and no instruction booklet. I contacted the seller and they went above and beyond to explain things. After looking over my order I realized I did buy the "used" one. I have been very happy with the product and the seller was great.Well what can I say about a cupcake maker. My wife hinted she wanted this for about two months. I thought it would just in the cupboard like the rest of the trendy products from their time. And refused to buy one. The she had a pic of it on her phone so o broke down and purchased one.(TWO) fro her a Mini and a full size cake maker.Ok She LOVES this thing and has used it quite a few times her cupcakes are the best. She made some pear with a Carmel Cognac glaze that was.......Well great !!!not to mention the Chocolate with the chocolate Ganache in the middle. Or the Guinness cake with Bailys Irish cream frosting.Oh did I mention she is a culinary trained chef?? Sorry. Any way well worth the money. If your wife shows interest BUY ONE!!!I'm glad I did.My 8 year old daughter got this for Christmas. Pros: cooks the cupcakes / muffins quickly and cleans up very easily. Also, a great little recipe book comes with it. One night we were almost ready to serve dinner and decided to quickly make the corn/jalapeno muffins. They were done just in time for dinner - no waiting for the oven to heat! Cons/Warnings: Gets very hot (hotter than I expected) so kids still need supervision; it is especially a little tricky for them to get the cupcake out. Also, cupcakes had a bit of rubbery texture which could be that we cooked them too long (takes a while to remove them so maybe stop cooking/lift lid sooner). This appliance heats quickly! I am very impressed with the quality of such a cheap appliance. I also was able to easily wipe batter off of the nonstick surface. I never had trouble cleaning becuase I used baking cups. If you don't like cleaning between ridges (or cleaning at all for that matter), just purchase baking cups. Also be gentle with pouring into the cups and you will never have to worrry about a mess in the first place. The cupcakes definitely come out small, but if you are concerned about size then maybe a "BABYCAKES" cupcake maker is not for you. If you want big cupcakes or need to feed more than a handful of people, use a cupcake mold and an oven. If you want quick cupcakes for a small crowd or just for you, this is worth every penny! This product is good, not great but good. It makes cupcakes and mini brownies very quickly which is it's biggest pro and con. If you let it go a little too long (merely seconds) you will have a dry and or burned cake. I would recommend this product, just pay close attention when using. It also gets pretty hot on the outside, so keep little ones fingers (and yours) clear while it is on.These are great for gifts and for making quick treats. One good use is to make mini-cupcakes for the office. The small recipe book that is included can get you started, but I also purchased a Babycakes recipe book. I remember making donuts using an appliance like this when I was younger. My family loved it. It's a fun activity for kids. But this one is super cute, as well. I gave my sister one and her girls loved it. (Note: An adult does have to supervise because the appliance gets hot.) Basically, I'm addicted to Babycakes now, and I really want to get the BowWow Bistro from Babycakes that makes dog treats. We have used this item several times since purchasing it. We really like it. Just make sure you keep checking the cupcakes every few minutes, as the green light is not a very good indicator that the cupcakes are all the way done. Works well with corn muffins, cake batter, and other muffin mixes. I would recommend greasing the well before pouring the batter if you are not using muffin cups. Easy to clean if you put a pinch of hot water in each well while the product is still a bit warm and close the lid for a few minutes. The dry batter will soften with the steam, and then you can wipe the mess right out.Oh Wow...Never seen one of these till a friend showed us how & what she used to use to make some little corn muffins..Perfect for future Grandaughter when she gets old enough for after school treats & Grandma hanging out with her...You Ladies Get you one of these Perfect & No Oven, Cleans up well as they say it does..But do time a little time & Purchase with the reciept Book, The Big book..has 175 reciepts inside..!!
