These excellent bowls from Finland have a lot to recommend them. While they probably won't be in too many ultralight sets, they somehow end up being the first bowl grabbed in our house when packing for just about any trip.We only had one for a few years, just ended up buying one of each color so that no one felt stuck with the "crappy little plastic bowl"Fill one of these up with oatmeal and it's easy to carry, sets and balances really nice almost anywhere and on really cold mornings, because of the little finger hold, you can even leave mittens on! They clean easily, help keep food warm and are really durable.These don't get five stars because they don't nest well, so take up a bit more room than they could.The other minor downsides, they do pick up oils from food, probably shouldn't be thrown into the dishwasher and you can't cook in them directly.But hold one in your paws full of hot whatever 29 miles from the nearest road and you'll understand the appeal. Yes, they're pricier than your beat up plastic cereal bowl, because they're worth it!
