Choose the method of use according to your soil environment Please check the user manual after receiving the product. The manual mentions two wiring methods, and the appropriate choice depends on your environment. If your land is damp, I recommend using wiring method 1 mentioned in the manual. You can insert the grounding rod deeper into the soil and connect the Fence Ground Terminal (Green) to it, while connecting the output to your fence line. Since electricity conducts better in moist soil, this will reduce power loss significantly. This is also the installation method most buyers opt for. Regarding method 2, if your land is drier, the conductivity of the soil will be lower, and you may notice lower power output. In this case, you need to connect the Fence Ground Terminal (Green) to the grounding rod while also connecting an additional wire to the fence line, allowing the fence line to form a dual current of Green and Red, which will improve the efficiency of your current usage. However, please take care to use insulated materials to connect the positive and negative terminals to the fence line, to avoid the electric fence forming a current loop only in a small area rather than covering the entire fence. Check if Your Electric Fence is Working Properly After plugging in the power supply, first observe if the indicator light on the electric fence is illuminated. This is the initial step to determine if the device is functioning correctly. At the same time, listen for the sound of electric current; you should hear a distinct sound when the device starts if it is operating properly. If the indicator light does not illuminate or you do not hear any sound, please check the power connection or contact after-sales service Carefully Distinguish Between Neutral and Live Wires When making any electrical connections, it is crucial to clearly differentiate between the neutral wire (typically dark color) and the live wire (typically bright Color). The terminals on the electric fence energizer are clearly labeled: the green terminal is for the ground output, and the red terminal is for the live wire output. When connecting, ensure that the wires are correctly linked to avoid device malfunctions or electrical safety hazards. Outdoor Usage Precautions Although our electric fence energizer features a waterproof sealing design, if you plan to use it outdoors for an extended period, it is advisable to add an additional waterproof layer. For instance, using a waterproof cover or protective enclosure can shield the device from rain and moisture, preventing damage to its electrical components. This measure can significantly extend the lifespan of the equipment, ensuring reliable operation in various weather conditions.
