1.Advantages: Upgrade 12800W super high power, rotating speed up to 28000 RPM/min, easy to complete woodworking. While the power is greatly improved, the heat dissipation of the host and handle is fast, which greatly improves your using experience. 2.Characteristic: Electric wood chisels can save one half force then hand-carving, and the engraving speed is three to five times that of hand-carving. The efficiency is greatly improved while saving your energy. 3.Application: Especially suitable for carving softwood, popular with professional carvers, amateurs, and students. Also can be used for furniture carving, antique floor carving, potted plants, toys, figures, animals and other sculpture works. 4.Common problems and countermeasures: What is the reason why the carving power is a little light? -- This product is most suitable for carving softwood, and for harder materials (such as hardwood, ebony, soft plastic, etc.), the carving strength will be slightly weak. What is the reason that the axis of soft shaft is easy to break? -- The Flexible shaft must be installed in the right side of machine. 5.Parameter: Voltage: 110V ~ 60Hz Load output power: 1280W Speed: 28000rpm Clamping range: 0.3-4mm Flexible shaft length: 1m Host size(cm): 17* 23 * 18 Weight: 4kg

The first thing I noticed about this item is the chisels use a simple flat, narrow shank. In other words I can easily make my own or modify store bought ones easily. Some manufactures make these specific to their tool by stampings or curving the shank making it difficult to replace them with your own.The second thing I noticed is they aren't sharpened correctly I thought my picture would show it clearly but it doesn't. They sharpened an extreme angle on one side and then sharpened a micro bevel on the other. I don't believe this is correct and my tests on hemlock and sugar maple prove this out. The kit supplies you with two of each type of chisels, skinny and wide flat, round, skew, and veining. I re-sharpened one of each. The second picture.I think this is the reason some people say the tool worked fine and some say its junk, it's all in the cutting tool. Whoever uses this or any sharpened tool will have to re-sharpen them, all sharp tools get dull so this isn't a big deal. Some of their badly sharpened chisels seem to have cut fine but most did not. My re-sharpened ones cut the maple with no problem. I tried the end grain with the small flat chisel and it struggled, what do you expect? It's maple. When I tried the hemlock it worked into it with difficulty. It did cut through this softer wood with the grain easily. Easier than the maple of coarse. Some of the bad factory sharpened chisels did not perform well. They did not cut into the wood.I think that -1: The chisels are being sharpened incorrectly- probably in several ways. ( by different people?)2: The stone is rather coarse and there is no secondary bevel. I'm not sure there is supposed to be but mine worked well. ( they do put a micro bevel on them, its just on the wrong side- the back).3: The backs were not flattened. The all black coating show just where the blades were sharpened. The wrong side micro bevel might be the persons misunderstanding of removing the burr.4: the metal might not be hardened and tempered or its just not any type of tool steel. One of the chisels had rounding of the edge. The metal bent over. But this was just one of them and it was maple I was jabbing it into.Even with these problems anyone can re-sharpen them. I would suggest the manufacturer to ensure these blades are correctly sharpened before they are put in the package. I think this would eliminate the frustration some people have that the tool "doesn't work".I bought a length of thin tool steel to make my own chisels. This unit comes with a strange abrasive wheel. I tried and it will shape the tool steel down, for those with limited tools. The motor and flex cable are fine.Customer service ...Excellent. I asked if they had a rotary handle for this and they said they did and would ship one for me for FREE if I did an honest review. I've already received the tool (and its pretty nice). So I don't think my review is biased in anyway. The wrongly sharpened chisels aren't a big deal. The other more expensive brand power chisels will still require sharpening. The steel quality? well the price reflects this. You can apparently get a chisel set that comes with a wooden handle (non powered set) and use those blades if you wish. They went for about $150 not the same company but the shanks seem to be the same. Although the tool steel and price are not.I also think they should offer the rotary handle for those who do not have a rotary tool. It has a tiny jacobs type chuck (drill chuck). This machine is after all a rotary tool with a reciprocating handle. why not have a rotary handle also?Oh- the reviewer with the movie. You can see in the vid that there is a flange on the cable pin that slides into the handles (42 seconds). It also shows there is a groove inside the handle for this flange (35 seconds). You have to line them up. If the handle simply slid on there would be no mechanical coupling between the two. There is no auto aligning either so you have to do it.The directions show this somewhere but are not clear enough. I think I saw it in one of their assembly videoswhen we got this chisel we tried it on a pine board, with the grain. It will NOT cut cross grain! Not even on soft pine. I carve aspin a lot. Even softer than pine. Wont cut it even with the grain. Very dissapointed.
