Have used it on 2 long drives, 5200 miles and 3400 miles, made many cups of tea and freeze dried meals while driving. Easy and safe to use!I bought the cup in red, which came in a cardboard box with the description on the outside being half in Chinese, half in broken English. The cup holds 348ml of water, or just over 11 ounces. It also came with a small pamphlet of instructions and safety advice that I won't lie, was somewhat difficult to read due to broken English (inside the cup, printed on the steel reads "boilig line". But hey, lackluster translation doesn't mean it doesn't work.The one thing I 'dislike' about the cup is that your car must be on and engine running to give it enough power to heat water, otherwise it displays an error message. This doesn't matter much if you have at least a 15 minute drive somewhere, however if you're on your break at work, camping, or just sitting in your car for whatever reason and want hot water, you're going to have to sit in it while it runs to heat the water for around 10-15 minutes.It makes just over 11 ounces of water. To put that into perspective, I made ramen in my car with it. When filled to the safety line inside, it made just enough hot water to fill your typical nissin/maru Chan instant Ramen Styrofoam cup perfectly with no extra. It also perfectly filled a small coffee cup from McDonald's for instant coffee.I do wish it held a bit more water, as a college student. I have to choose between making one thing at a time. Do I make oatmeal, or tea? I only have enough hot water for one unless I want to wait an additional 15 minutes for more hot water (and my car running for a total of half an hour)The unit seems otherwise pretty solid, made from 304 steel and food grade silicone. The base gets quite hot to the touch but not enough to burn you. It heats to 99 celcius, or 212 degrees Fahrenheit. The display is in celcius. It has a button to heat, and a button to maintain temperature but still not 100% sure how to use due to the broken English in instructions. There is a tab at the base of the cup to switch between 80w & 120wThe instructions specifically state NOT to put any liquid inside of it besides water. Not coffee, not milk, just water. It also says do not try to put food in it, so no soups, oatmeal or ravioli. You CAN heat water to make instant coffee, powdered milk/formula, or hot water for tea /instant oatmeal. Again, none of those things should go directly into the cup. Could you boil eggs in it? Possibly, as long as they don't crack.Overall I'm pleased with it as I got it to make tea, coffee, oatmeal, and Ramen and so far I have made all of those things without issue. I will update my review if I have any problems.I thought it was a decent water kettle. Works good but takes kinda long. About 20min to boil water overall the size is perfect, it does its job Love it good buy.First use the unit heated too temp of 99c shut off okay great. welll not great lifted it up and hot water was leaking out the bottom into my cup holder. Now has steam in the window and controls don’t work. I’m pretty certain the relief valve failed to open. It’s possible I just got a bad one. Trying another will update:Update:Purchased another unit and this one seems fine However I Removed the check ball out of the silicone seal in the cap. I’m very certain this is what caused my first failure with not venting pressure during the unit coming to a boil consequently making the lower body seals start leaking. It’s actually safer with it removed abit of steam comes out when it nears boil but that’s better than opening a pressurized vessel as many have encountered. With the check ball removed mine goes to 99c shuts off and I can open it immediately with no boil flare up. I’ve tested it about two dozen times and currently traveling the east coast so far it’s not failed. Keep in mind if your heating to a boil and removed your pressure check ball it will steam some out the hole on the cap it’s not much you may not even notice it but be aware. I fill mine to the max fill line and it has never spit water out the hole. Anyway be careful of any steam!I’m giving 4 stars as of now due to the pressure relief flawAmazing Product.Love it just what needed to heat liquid in vehicle to make my own coffee. Would like it to hold more liquid but great over all.We traveled 5000 miles this trip. We could boil water to pour over Ramen noodles and have quick meal while on the move. You can make coffee or tea. Just plug it in and wait 15 minutes to reach boiling and then another 5 to be able to open. With two kids and two people driving it was a great help. The only thing bad about it was that the top seal separated from the cup but it still worked and that you had to very carefully open it to not get hot water on your hands. Otherwise a great thing.I love my spardar this is the most awesome 12 V product I’ve found so far. The container is very sturdy and well-made it’s very easy to open even though I have wimpy hands. the base seems a little cheap compared to the rest of it and there’s some Rattalee peace inside mine, so I’m hoping it doesn’t die on me. but I’d highly recommend it. I do van life and it is going to change my life, wish I had it last winter Easily heats up off of my Jackery 500, or my cigarette lighter for my car. Well now it seems to have tipped over and I didn’t realize it and got water on the outside and now I don’t go over 60 and I let it dry out and dried it really good for a few days first Hoping Amazon tech-support can offer some helpful advice and optionsLove it
