I have another name brand frother as well and this one works better and was more then half the price. From what I can tell from using it is that you have only one setting for heating and frothing. I guess the machine can tell from the weight of the liquid? It does work though, it just doesn’t say anything about that in the instructions. Also, it doesn't beep once it's done, so I tend to forget and wind up reheating which produces more foam. Milk doesn’t get piping hot but heats better than my other one in in the same price range. I have the white. Looks very smart on my counter.I wrote to the seller that my unit wasn't working after only having it for one month. It wasn't frothing at all. They immediately responded to my concerns. They recommended I confirm I was using whole milk,that the whisker was in properly and wanted me to send a video of the unit working so they could better assess the situation There was a tremendous amount of communication. In other words,they " didn't blow me off. " As it turned out it was the milk because it was old. It was drinkable but about a week after the expiration date. Unit is working beautifully Such a treat having creamy,fluffed up milk with my coffee. Their customer service was really great. Highly recommend.Just Love it THank you! This one is for my father
