Got this item in hopes to use for a spice ball but this was so big we actually made jokes how big it was. This is the perfect size for Pho spices and the ingredients minus the bones of course. We love the durability of the construction and its heavy duty design.I’ll be buying a smaller one for my adobo spices. I’ll probably use this for canning too. When recipes say to strain out the spices this just makes the process easier.If your doubting yourself because of the price or the quality don’t. This is hands down restaurant quality and excellent durability. And dishwasher safe.all your spices are together and easy to toss when you're done. i use mine for corned beef and cabbage and the spices no longer get tangled up in the cabbage. it's great to not find bay leaves in my teeth. and it's easy to brush clean.Great productI'm very happy with my purchaseHigh recommend itThe 4.3" dia x 5" high version worked excellent for hopping beer wort. The mesh is fine (approx. 3mm, but I just eyeballed it) and only hop dust got through using pellet hops. It's entirely stainless steel and cleaned with just warm water and a sink sprayer faucet, but a bottle brush makes an excellent cleaner as well. The chain is long enough that it suspended mine 1" off the bottom of my 8gal brew pot. 2oz of pellet hops swelled to only fill this basket not quite half way, so it'll easily hold 4oz, maybe 5oz but you'd probably want a little space for the hops to move around a bit.The clamps on top sealed nice and solidly, so no worries about it opening up while in your wort. :D The chain is pretty solid as well, so no worries about it breaking, either.Too big to use. It may be good for restaurants. But not for households.I bought this to make hibiscus tea. FYI it's too big for my mason jar pitcher but fine in my plastic pitchers. I liked that it was big enough that I could also use it for soup herbs.This is great! Arrived as advertised, lid clips and stays in, hasn’t rusted and I have used it weekly for a few months. I have yet to own a strainer with tight webbing that cleans easily that’s just the nature of these things. I will go a lot smaller in a new purchase. I over estimated how much the herbs would expand.
