If you are making a lot of bias binding, you need one (or more!) of these. It will save a lot of time, burnt fingers and frustration. I have used the cheaper models; the bias tape I made using this Clover maker was much more consistent in size. These come in several different sizes to make different widths, so shop around a little if you don't see the width you are looking for.FYI, the 3/4" measurement is how wide your tape will be after you have ironed it. For this item, you'd cut your fabric strips 1-1/2 inches wide. Finished width, after applying the tape, would be about 3/8". This is a nice width for quilt bindings and other home crafts.Easy to use and makes lovely bias tape! The bias tape maker is an awesome product. Making bias tape is now a breeze. This was recommended in a pattern I was making and I was concerned that it was going to be an unnecessary accessory, but it is such a time-saver! If you sew, you want this. I have two sizes now. I use a hat pin (directions say awl) to get it started. This is so easy to use. Bias tape comes out perfectly sized every time.It works for what it is made for...Love Clover Bias tape makers! They make it so easy to make your own bias tape. Be aware--the size given on the package is an indication of the width of the tape after the two edges have been folded. If you fold it over again, to put it over an edge or something, it will be half that width.I've been sewing my entire life but never made bias tape. I was a little nervous but this little machine was great! Just cut the fabric to the correct width on the bias and feed it through. You iron it on the other side and voila! Bias tape in any fabric you want!Works great. In general, Clover products are usually top-notch (but you will pay for that quality).Good quality product with fast delivery on timeWorks wellBrillant little gadget. It works!
