I received my pot I love it used it to make stew came out great. The next day I used it to make white rice and it burn my rice and the pot got burn inside. I used it the same way I use to make rice in my other pots. I had it at a medium/ low until the water evaporated then put it at a low flame. The handle is hard to grip have to use a kitchen towel to take off lid. I'm kinda bummed out about the pot will try again making rice in it.It’s not easy to find a wide earthenware bowl with a lid. Glad we found this one! Using it to set yogurt, which sets beautifully and looks very attractive. I have not used it on the stove so can’t comment on that but it does go in the dishwasher. Bought the 8inch one and using it every week.The pot itself is good and works well for soups etc but the bottom is not flat, slightly raised in the center which makes toasting small amounts of ingredients hard as the oil settles at the sides of the pot. For soups, stews, rice etc… this will work well. Wish the lid was easy to grip, especially when it’s hot, it’s too hard to carefully lift it up, as the grip on top is not high enough to comfortably hold, one must be very very careful as it slips when held with a mitten. Will not buy this pot again nor recommend to anyone.My wife is Korean. She has always wanted a hefty sized cooking bowl for bibimbap.
