This thing has held up well after months of use. No stains, streaks, or signs of wear yet. The handles are sturdy and nice to hold, and it makes cooking big batches of curry and pasta a breeze.I make soup every week yet never owned a true stockpot. Thank goodness I woke up!I have a great set of nonstick cookware but the largest pot is 4 quarts. I needed something larger for preparing soups. I had my choice narrowed down to Farberware and T-fal. Based on comparison reviews, T-fal seemed to be the superior brand in this price range. Amazon delivered on time. I read the literature and followed the instructions to wash and season the pot before its first use so I did and it was ready for use the following morning. I prepared 6 quarts of vegetable soup. The pot heated quickly and the non-stick performed great for sautéeing the aromatics. And when I had to bring the soup to a simmer while covered it did it beautifully and the glass lid does not steam up so I could keep an eye. After the soup finished cooking I decided to hand wash and not use the dishwasher. Since nothing stuck to the pot washing it out took no time at all. So out of the box this pot is a winner. And it's deceptively small looking since it's narrow and high. But 8 quarts is 8 quarts and this way it has a smaller footprint for placing on the stove and storage. If I need any more cookware I would definitely go for T-fal.UPDATE: I prepare my "diet' vegetable soup every other week and it continues to come out perfect. After every washing it remains to look brand new.Loved the size.Great soup pot.A little narrow, but great for our Jamaican soups and stews. Not very very large occasions, but highly recommended for families.Excellent price-value ratio. The design of the pot makes it very functional. Delivered on time.Great for lobster seafood soups chilis ham etc! Can be used a variety of ways for large meals cookout mealsVery nice quality pot. Disappointed to see dent on side after I removed the plastic wrap and sticker. It came unboxed/ wrapped in plastic in a normal shipping box.Arrived very quickly. Not used it yet but looks well made & I will be able to make loads of mustard pickle in it, just hope I have enough jam jars!! ?Super fast delivery. Great value but high postage but it does come from the USA,so can't grumble.Really good cook pot this. does all my stews ,soups etcfor all the family.I was looking at the price of sous vide plastic bins and reading their reviews. A lot of them mentioned bulging and cracking, and they were priced in the same ballpark as this sockpot.I decided to get this giant pot instead, and I couldn't be happier. I can drop a roast in, cover with foil, and sleep through the night without worrying about the water running low and the meat going bad.Since its a solid steel stock pot, I also have absolutely no concern that it will bulge or break on me.I drink about $80 of soy milk per month. So I wanted to make my own soy milk. By my calculations, would be closer to $5/month if I made it myself.Making soy milk in a stainless steel pot does not work. No matter how careful I try to be (I have literally stirred it nonstop for the whole cooking process), it will always stick to the bottom of the pot, burn or brown heavily, and the batch will taste burnt. This pot is perfect. Nothing sticks, I can scrape the bottom with a silicone spatula once every 10 minutes or so and it's fine. It's super easy to clean. It also is super tall, which makes it great to prevent boiling over, especially if you use it half full, there's a lot of room for foam expansion.I've already made enough soymilk to pay for the pot.The bottom is basically the same thickness as the sides though, so don't expect a heavy bottom pan, but for boiling stuff this doesn't matter, only for searing as far as I know.
