I can not believe how well this works, oh my does it ever work. Right out of the box we put it to use and were amazed. We've done lots of tomatoes for sauce and salsa, wild black berries for jello, jelly, and sauce, and lots of plums for sauce, plum butter, and bbq sauce. All have been perfect. What can I say, this does an excellent job for what it is designed for. If you do any canning, you gotta get one of these! We purchased the bundle which came with the motor drive and other accessories which I would recommend because the accessories provide a broader range of foods one can process, and the drive eliminated all of the hand cranking I would have had to do. I can not say enough about how well the strainer works. You will have to get one for yourself and be amazed as well. I do not know how we did without this the last 15 years, but now we have another tool we could not go without.This would easily earn a 5 star except for a design flaw in the motor drive. The first time we used it we could not have been happier until upon cleaning the motor drive I notice right away the drive shaft key had fallen out and hopelessly lost as it is very small. I also found a crack in the drive shaft itself for which there was no reason for. Customer service was very happy to sell us a new key, but I think that that should have been a warranty item. They shipped a new key very fast, and we back in business in a little more then a week. I still worry about the crack in the drive shaft itself, but it doesn't seem to be getting worse as we put it through its paces, and believe me, we are doing that. We now guard the key like it is gold. The second issue is the drive shaft O-ring should probably be slightly bigger as it will leak out the back onto the motor then drip on the floor.
