Diana Ross' second RCA and 12th overall finds the songstress continuing a stretch of awesome records that will last through half of 80s (Diana to Eaten Alive. The album contains a stellar set of songs, including the archaic "Turn Me Over" which is a cue for the listener to turn the record over. Here she takes a rather bold step and moves out of realm of comfort and experiment with hard rock "Fool for Your Love" which finds her at ease with this slightly menacing track, and an added bonus is that she co-wrote and produced (as she did with the whole record). The album opens up with the sensual Michael Jackson co-production (the only song here that was co-produced) about wanting a man with muscles. "Turn Me Over" which is an interlude and a cue for the listener to turn the record to face B (as the sides here were called) and that then segues into the instantly infectious "Who" which is easily the second best track here (after Fool for Your Love). Three songs that I mentioned are just my favorites but I find this album highly enjoyable and her third best album of the 80s (after Diana and Swept Away). One can easily see why Silk Electric was certified Gold here.
