Hello, I have been a sonic toothbrush user now for 10+ yrs. and have loved using it every time. The reason I decided to buy the Quip Metal Electric toothbrush was because I was tired of the bulkiness of the old styled sonic brushes, and misplaced my sonic brush after a recent trip to Detroit. (maybe it was wishful thinking lol)The Packaging: I got my Quip Metal Electric toothbrush last night. The Quip brush came incase in a large plastic test tube like casing. cute. The Handling: It is very light weight in comparison to the sonic toothbrush, and slightly heavier than a regular toothbrush. The Quip Metal Electric toothbrush in Action:Simply put, it sucked. It felt as though I was holding a regular toothbrush with a vibrator attached to it. I compare it to a regular fancy toothbrush. Yes, the toothbrush head is nice, but lacks different firmness type of heads on amazon and on the website. In comparison with the sonic toothbrush, the sonic toothbrush blows this toothbrush out of the water. The difference lies as to where the vibration occurs. On the sonic brush, the machine moves the head creating a fanning effect which helps with cleaning your teeth, causing me to lick my teeth afterwards lol. The Quip just vibrates at the body of the brush. Yes, the head vibrates as well, but that is all it does. The Quip head just vibrates. My teeth did feel clean after the brush, but my teeth are also felt the same compared to brushing with a regular toothbrush.Overall: The Quip website gives the consumer 3 options of brush type: plastic body ($25), metal body ($40), and special edition ($55) special edition is just a blackout version. The website also offers a $5 subscription for replacement AAA battery and toothbrush head per 3 months.I am minimalist, and don't think the Quip Electric Metal toothbrush is worth the money. I bought this because I just did not want to pay the $100 price tag of a sonic toothbrush, but now I think the $100 price tag is worth it. If anything, buy the plastic one, $25 is somewhat worth the money, or just stick with your regular toothbrush.. Yeah, I recommend that.A year or so ago I purchased two Quip toothbrushes to use when traveling. They have served their purpose and I made this purchase for our son. This appears to be a much nicer made toothbrush which will be a gift....Decent toothbrush but battery does not last long. But it does take just 1 AAA so...These are great classic type toothbrushes not crazy expensive like the others. I love how it fits in my mouth and how it leaves my mouth feeling after and during the brushing. Highly recommend this.. and you get refills delivered to you every 3 months so you never forget. Perfect.Im a dental assistant and I love trying new things ... but I t’s a vibrating tooth brush with a modern sleek design nothing special, the bristles are pretty rough on the gums .. for the future I hope they come out with different brush head hardnesses.. soft bristles are ideal for me..I love this toothbrush! I've used many battery powered toothbrushes over the last 20 years, this one is hands down the best. It seems to clean better amd the quadrant notification is great (it reminds me if my thoughts are wandering and I'm lingering in 1 area to long. Also the refill process is quite convenientI purchased one for me a while back and found it was a good substitute for my sonic Tbrush while I'm on the road. Purchase one for my wife and I'm buying this one for my granddaughter.Great product! Lightweight feel, easy to travel with, great clean feeling. I switched from a sonicare diamond clean to this and I’m happy I made the switch!
