I am very please with the cooktop. I would highly recommend it to others. No dislikes. Used for my homeI likedNice stove topI bought this in April and just now used it for the first time. It only works on highest setting of 9, and then the water won't even boil. This isn't working for us sadly and have just lost another $100. I gave it 2 stars since it does turn on.Easy enough to install, but had functionality problems right from the start.Sometimes when I turn it on the burner doesn't heat up properly.Other times when it's turned on the burner goes straight to high heat and then refuses to turn off. I've used it twice and both times I have had to flip the breaker cutting off electricity entirely in order to turn it off.Was a good price and I was in a pinch needing a stove. I'm going to give you a quick version before you scroll by in hopes you heed my warning. The stove works. It looks good. Relatively easy to set up and install.BUTNothing cooks unless it's on 9 (highest level) so I cannot make anything without burning and overlooking. The other levels work, but not well enough to matter AT ALL. pick something else. Don't be like me.Looks decent, well packaged, mostly good instructions for installation, use, and aftercare, and a great price. What could go wrong?I bought this for a house refurbishment for a person on a tight budget who wanted a clean look to the kitchen (I renovate and refurbish multiple properties per year). Although not a well known brand, this unit does look good when in situ.Installation: the cable thickness and position requires an additional cut out beyond the given dimensions to allow the unit to fit - although not mentioned in the instructions this is not a problem as long as care is taken not to cut beyond the unit footprint (I found it best to undercut the worktop at 45deg). Cable length is more than adequate for most installations and wires are pre finished with crimps for easy connection.Use: Luckily I hadn’t done the final fit of the unit. When first powered up all the LEDs flash and clicking can be heard settling down to no LEDs on and no clicking. Zone selection is clearly marked but can be a little fiddly to select and set to the required temperature. All relatively good to this point then click and everything turns off except the LEDs to show which zones are still hot. The instructions suggest this is due to overheating (auto cut off) so I double checked the ventilation gaps and clearances - all good. Conclusion: If you want a ceramic hob, buy a known brand. This unit might just be a one off but once bitten…I found it difficult to find a hob that fit in the sizes that I wanted precisely for my kitchen island location, this hob being a 77 cm unit fitted really well within the dimensions. When installed and turned off it looks like a very simple black sleek glass panel that combined with the marble surface we've gone with just continues the sleek look of the island surface. The controls are all touch screen controls on the hob itself, you press and hold to turn it on then select your hob position and select the temperature or setting that you want to place it at, there's also a child lock setting which means that if you have children that like to climb up onto the counter it be kitchen you can stop them from accidentally turning on the hob whilst they climb around. There are also additional settings which I really don't use a lot like the pause setting or the timer as well as locking the controls over two sections at the same time, all of these seem like they would be very useful functions for somebody who cooks a lot more than I do however for someone who likes the simplicity this just works. It is with a heavy heart that we are replacing our gas hob to electric. We would definitely prefer continuing to use gas to cook with but as we are living off the mains gas supply and having to rely on gas cylinder deliveries it has been very expensive over the past year. Too expensive to continue indefinitely as there is no prediction that it will be any cheaper any time soon. It is for this reason that we decided to change to electric. This large 77cm ceramic hob is about the right size to replace the existing cooking space. I got the electrician to fully test it prior to fitting in case there were any faults. Obviously, I would advise you to get a professional tradesman to fit this properly. Glad that it was all in working order. It has 5 cooking rings, perfect for a larger family. It is suitable for most cooking pots and pans. The heat power is controlled using 9 different levels. It is easy to wipe clean after cooking.Absolutely rubbish product, hob has not worked properly since first use (rings overheat and fault out, various errors appear when powered on, switches on and off at random) contacted seller who fails to respond, Amazon were also no help at all, no reported to trading standards and credit card company.I bought this cooking hob for my elderly mother who desperately needed her 20-something year old hob replacing due to a fault. This hob has adequate room for all sizes of cooking pots on the 4 rings.I can’t comment on the ease of installation, as I paid a professional to do this for me, although he had it set up in what felt like no time, and she’s had no issues with it ever since. She loves the touch screen controls and finds she can more accurately gauge the temperatures of her pots and pans thanks to the digital screen. Overall, this hob offers great value for money.
