I just got it this past Friday. Aside from Watchtower & Vodoo Chile Slight return, I didn’t have the rest of the other Hendrix songs for guitar, which is why purchased this album book. Great investment, I can tell it’ll keep me busy for a while, not to mention the beautiful introduction material of the album that it comes with. Great songbook indeed.Jimi Hendrix was a composer who used musical overlays to create the songs on his albums. Many musical tracks were combined to form the final product. These overlays are evident in this songbook. Reading the guitar tab parts is like trying to read the musical score for an orchestral arrangement. The tabs for the guitar parts are layered so you can follow the note arrangements for a particular part, but if you are trying to re-create the musical flow, you have to "jump" from tab line to tab line. This can be difficult if you are not fluent in reading tab signature for guitar. The learning curve for technique can be difficult for all but the more advanced guitarist.I have learned a number of the songs in this book to where I am happy with the results, but the amount of time that it took to get there may have been better applied to books that teach blues method or lead guitar methods rather than to try to pick them up from this book. That said, this book shows the mastery of technique over a wide range of musical style. One of my favorite albums... one of my favorite music books.Remember that Jimi Hendrix played a right handed guitar with his left hand. This makes a big difference in attack form, hammers and rolls on the strings.Probably the best tabs ever for any musician. Very accurate.I had this book years ago only it was the edition with the bass and drums score, which is a little excessive if you just want the guitar parts and that's where this book doesn't disappoint. From the open chords of "Have You Ever Been To Electric Lady Land" to the final notes of "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" every note, every moment every scream and every chord voicing is here.Another Great Andy Aledort tab book. If you want to get ALL the parts down to Jimi's songs, Andy is the way to go. This book is best used with the 'All of Electric Ladyland' DVD that is also by Aledort. That's the 'ALL OF' DVD. Not to be confused with Andy's 'BEST OF' DVD on the album. It's not always on sale, so if you see it, snap it up. Anyway, you can't go wrong with this book.Excellent book, tabs are dead on, Jimi was a genius as a guitar player a composer and a song writer..Book really lets u break it down and see the rythms he was playing..So far everything seems correct, I can't speak for the entire work because it will take some time digest it all.yep :)No problemuna trascrizione molto accurata , una buona base di partenza per esplorare il mondo hendrixiano di questo assoluto capolavoro che rappresenta la somma della musica anni 60 e getta le basi per il futuro di molte espressioni poi sviluppate da moltissimi artisti tanto da essere attualissimo ancora oggi, un miracolo di mixaggio.I bought this book in part for the lyrics to this extraordinary work by Hendrix. The words given in the book seemed in part at least gibberish. Not a question of a difference in language between American and British English simply the person who had edited the words had not listened closely enough to what Hendrix was singing or saying to actually hear what the words were.I had expected a standard songbook but this purports to be an entire scripting of the performances given by Hendrix, Redding and Mitchell. Whether they are that I cannot say but when the words themselves are so sloppily done it leaves the rest in doubt. I hope you can enjoy it. ~Sadly I didn't.very happy with productvery very hard tab do not buy unless ver y good at guitar what i can pay of it sounds just right tho
