air poppers are almost all the same - the design rarely varies since they normally come from one basic design from the same factory in china.This one i like a lot because it has this whirlwind/vortex pattern of blowing the kernels around to heat them up. I don't have the data to support this but I feel that it allows for better heat distribution.Will an oil popper taste better? YEAH. but they are also much less healthy, and way more difficult to clean up. The main reason i bought an air popper is because they require basically no cleaning past the first scrub when you get it.
